The Little Hours is set in 14th century Italy, but was primarily filmed in picturesque locations across Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio regions of Italy. The majority of the filming took place in the medieval village of Civita di Bagnoregio, which provided the perfect backdrop with its narrow streets, ancient buildings and rugged landscapes. Some scenes were also shot in the cities of Rome and Siena. The film's production team worked closely with local historical societies and authorities to recreate the look and feel of the medieval period, and the result is a visually stunning and authentic representation of the time.
